A Big Thanks

 

I'm making 'thank-you' cards to send to those who attended my Civil Partnership celebration last week. I'm not very good at making multiples, but I think I can make another four of these before I get too bored. 

The 'thanks' was cut on a Silhouette digital die-cutter. The stamp is a very old wood-block stamp by A Muse stamps and the circle of hearts is by Winnie and Walter.

On a busy week, had a last minute request from my partner to make a Fathers' Day card for his step-dad. The only way to go was CAS! The fishes are all one stamp and the sentiment was cut on Silhouette digital cutter.

Inkspirational Challenges - Emboss Your Background.

For my DT card I created a background using circles and star stamps from a Winnie and Walter set. Then I ran the background through a stars embossing folder. I designed and cut the sentiment and candles on my Silhouette digital cutter, and I added sone pattern to the candles with black and white pens.

The Library Challenge - The Girl in the Polka-dot Dress

 

The new challenge at The Library is The Girl in the Polka- dot Dress by Beryl Bainbridge. 

I haven't read this book, but it looks interesting and I've read one of her other books and really enjoyed it. 

For my card I went literal - a stamped girl with a paper-pieced dress and  a circular birthday stamped around.

Christmas Tree or Iceberg?

 Is my little Pure Innocence character standing in front of a stylised Christmas tree or an iceberg? Either way, he has frost on his hat and gloves, which doesn't show in the photo.

I love books but I don't like coffee...however, I have a friend who loves both, so I made this card for her, using a Waffle Flower stamp set.

For my DT card I chose summer , which is just arriving in my corner of the world. 

I used an MFT stamp set called Sunny Vibes. I had a circle in my bits bag that I'd die-cut when making an aperture, so I snipped a bit off it and then coloured it with yellow distress ink.
