City Crafter - Flora Laura

I'm really sad that this is the final challenge at City Crafter, which will be closing down afterwards. I'll miss it hugely and want to say thank you to Kirsty and all the wonderful, supportive crafters I've met through the challenge.

Our challenge is to use a floral background. I hope you'll join in.

The Library - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo -reminder

I made another card for the theme at The Library . I've had this Kanban stamp for years and it always reminds me of a tattoo. I stamped and coloured it and stamped the sentiment from another set. I splattered it with gold watercolour paint.

Inkspirational - Sweet Things Photo

I think this will be the Valentine's card I give my partner. Before we met, I rarely had biscuits in the house (due to lack of self-control). Now, he almost always has a packet hidden somewhere and I spend an embarrassing amount of time trying to sniff them out!

Here is our inspiration photo at Inkspirational:
As you can see, I went with the cookies and the hearts.  I used two new stampsets that I've treated myself to : Waffle Flower Cookie Love and Mama Elephant Swinging Borders (the heart swirl) . I coloured them with Promarkers,....and that's all!

I hope you'll come over to Inkspirational and join in.

City Crafter - Cupcakes

This week at City Crafter, Lucille has chosen 'cupcakes'.  Here I combined four different stampsets and coloured them with Promarkers.

I hope you'll join in the challenge.

Okay Bokeh

I tried to create a bokeh effect by inking a background and then stamping it with a Neat and Tangled falling circles stamp, spritzed with water. I'm not sure that it was the best technique!

You can't tell from the photo how sparkly this card is. The 'ice' is all silver glitter pen.

At The Library, the book is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

As you can see, I went total dragon for this one.

For my first card (above) I stamped a cute dragon, coloured with Promarkers, and added stencilled background, stamped sentiment and an embossed panel. I popped the top panel onto foam tape to give it some dimension.

I'd like to enter:

For my second project I made a postcard using a Chinese dragon printed from a Debbie Moore CD.

I'd like to enter CD Sunday .  I haven't joined in with CD Sunday for a while - I don't buy CDs any more - if I want digi elements , I find it easier to download them- and I lost a lot of the ones I had in the great computer crash of 2018. So it's nice to take part in the challenge again.

I hope you'll join in the challenge at The Library.

The Library Challenge - Absolute Beginners - New Puppy

The current challenge at The Library is Absolute Beginners.

Absolute Beginners (London Trilogy Book 2) by [MacInnes, Colin]
For this card, I used a stencil and embossing pad in a die-cutting machine, to get the embossed bricks look, like the cover. The puppy is an MFT stamp and I made the sentiment on my computer.

I hope you'll join in the challenge.

I made this card using the Silhouette - I used commercially made SVG cutting files and then sliced the tops off the images so I could stack them. Then I created and cut the sentiment.  The card was inspired by the book cover below:

First one for Christmas 2019

Dotty Jo is having a Christmas card challenge on her blog. The first one is Rudolph and Friends.

This Rudolph stamp was a magazine freebie many years ago. The smallest circle is part of the stamp and I stamped sentiment circles around it.

Make Today an Adventure

My adventure today has been playing with my new set of Spectrum Noir sparkly coloured pens, which were a Christmas present. I used two shades to colour my pig. They have a fabulous shine and while I know the photo above (taken in artificial light ) is rubbish, at least it does show the sparkle.

City Crafter - You Mean the World to Me

Happy New Year everyone!
This week at City Crafter, Kirsty wants us to use a map, globe or the sentiment 'You mean the world to me'.
I made a New Year card using a globe die- cut  ( an SVG freebie from Keri Bradford), stamped with a Honey Bee sentiment. The birds are from a Clarity stencil, using Cosmic Shimmer gilding wax.
I hope you'll join in the challenge.
