Well, honestly, I don't know how I dare to show my face around here, I've been so slow with my commenting and so rubbish at visiting my favourite blogs. Please forgive me.
The reasons are, like so many of us, I'm working online full-time right now and there's only so much time you can spend sitting in front of a screen. Also, as I previously mentioned, we're preparing for a house move, which involves an unprecedented amount of time cleaning and decluttering. I'd never realised how dirty we are! And what hoarders!
Anyway, this card is for my challenge at
The Library - Garden Birdwatcher's Bible. I was inspired to use a bird book for the challenge from my house-hunting activities. Many houses advertised online have 3d virtual tours (similar to Google street view). If you have an ounce of nosiness in your character, I urge you to look for these - so fascinating! While viewing the house, I can't resist having a snoop in their bookcases (an occasional craft-room comes up too!). I've noticed that nearly every house I look at has a book on birds! Also, they almost all have a cookbook by Nigella Lawson. (This is UK,so this probably won't be true abroad). The funny thing is, in my house, we also have a book on birds and a Nigella cookbook! I would never dream of recording a 3d tour though!
Enough rambling, I made this card for my partner's stepfather's birthday and used the colour-scheme from
CAS on Friday .
