Last night I amused myself by stamping this Indigo Blu crowd scene onto subtly patterned paper and then paper-piecing some of the dogs using two other patterned papers. It was fiendishly fiddly!
I was going to add a sentiment, but realised I hadn't left any room for one! It will have to go inside.

City Crafter - Hang out the Flags
It's my turn to choose the challenge at City Crafter and I challenge you to use bunting, banners or flags on your creation.
I made a wedding card, featuring a row of banners. It was made largely on my Silhouette electronic cutting machine and I dry embossed the banners in a manual die-cutter.
This week, our Guest Designer is Kelly, so I hope you'll come over to City Crafter and see what Kelly, and the rest of the DT have made, and join in our challenge.

Shabby Wedding (Conquering Paper Mountain #11)
My daughter asked me to make a shabby chic wedding card.
This card was great for my scheme to reduce my paper mountain , as it used 3 sheets from a 6 x 6 Prima pad. The heart (dry embossed and coloured with mist) and leaf flourish are manual die-cuts and I electronically cut the sentiment on the Silhouette.

Way To Go
Here's a card I made for a friend and craft teammie who has passed her driving test.
I smooshed pink and lilac inks for the background and stamped the row of houses (Little Claire) and the car (Stampin Up) . The 'youre amazing' is Waffle Flower.
I added 'way to go' (Avery Elle) at the bottom - it's not a very British sentiment! But I thought it had a double meaning of 'you've done great' and ' driving is a way to get places'.

Runaway Baby
I've had this baby stamp a long time..the brand is 'Stamp World' and it says it was made in Australia ..I think I must have got it 2nd hand.
I welded the word 'baby' to the hill in Silhouette Studio and cut it out electronically. The word congratulations was cut out of spotty paper and I used the same paper to paper-piece some of the pram.

City Crafter - White and Bright
Stella has chosen 'White and Bright' as the new challenge at City Crafter and she wants us to 'create a card or project using lots of white and add an element or elements from the photo (below) .
For my DT card I used a very old Penny Black stamp, with paper scraps and ribbon to reflect the tea towels, and a splash of red on the tulips.
Our Guest Designer this week is Sid, so I hope you will come over to City Crafter and see what he and the rest of the DT have created and enter your own project.

It's Started to Snow!
If I have one overused motif on my Christmas cards, it must be the deer in the landscape! So I was looking for a way to give it a twist.
The deer and trees are a die-cu from Miss Kate Cuttables and I stuck it onto some snowfall acetate. Behind the acetate, I layered two colours of glitter card and then mounted it all on some gold mirror card.

Hola
I spotted a challenge at Dragonfly Journeys which is to use a cactus...the perfect occasion to use my under-used succulents set from MFT.
If I wasn't on the DT there, I would enter this into the Inkspirational Challenge of Masking, because lots of masking was involved.
I tried to create a sort of Mexican feel and created the 'hola' sentiment on the Silhouette.

Stripy Scarf
A while back I admired the colour co-ordination of someone's card and discovered they had started by choosing a patterned paper and then colouring their image to match. That's not normally how I operate but I tried it here.
The stripy papers were a magazine freebie from long, long ago, as were the chipboard embellishments. The image is from Pure Innocence range, coloured with Promarkers and I added a little Wink of Stella on the heart and snowball.

Inkspirational Challenge - Masking
Kim has chosen this fortnight's challenge at Inkspirational - Masking.
Here I used masking to create a little story involving a cat, a mouse and a cake. The cat and mouse are by Katzelcraft, the cake is Stamplorations and the sentiment is Clearly Besotted.

Friendly Florals - Embossed Background
Today, I've been posting cards I made using a card kit put together by Nonni, as part of a swap group we have formed with Pia .
The last item from the card kit was this white embossed background stamp. All I did to it was to colour it with two different shades of spray ink (with mica for shimmer) . I added some washi tape and a die-cut and glittered sentiment.

Flowers for men? - I say YES! This dog is a Penny Black stamp (I think the sentiment may be PB too).

Friendly Florals - Floral Cards
The stars of the wonderful card kit put together by Nonni were these lovely stamped and die-cut flowers and leaves ...I think they are by Alte New?? I don't have any stamps like this.
For my first card I coloured a card base using distress inks and doodled a frame. I coloured the flowers and leaves with Promarkers and stuck them to an embossed panel (from the kit). I added a sentiment - part die-cut, part stamped.

Card Kit Swap - Friendly Florals
Breaking news! I am taking part in a monthly card kit swap with Nonni and Pia.
The plan is that every month we take turns to create 3 identical kits - one for each of us - and then use the kit (mixed with our own stash if we wish) to make cards.
This month, Nonni sent out this kit, which she named 'Friendly Florals':
I'm happy to report that I've pretty much 'killed the kit' - this is all I have left:
A group shot of my cards is at the top of the page. I am going to link up the cards individually so that I can enter some challenges. (I'll link up when I get home from work.)
I hope you'll go and see what Pia and Nonni made!
Sorry Cat
I recently bought a set of Katzelcraft cat stamps, that are full of personality. I also got some polaroid -style frames in a scrapbooking kit. So I decided to put them together for Shopping Our Stash's challenge, which is to 'create a polaroid scene'.

City Crafter - Let's go to the Beach
This week's challenge was chosen by Ros and she wants us to use a beach theme. My beach is NOT in England !
I made the background using distress inks. The surf board is an SVG electronic die cutting file from Miss Kate Cuttables and the 'summer fun' e-die is by Juliana Michaels. The flower and Aloha stamps are by Clearly Besotted.
Please come over to City Crafter and see the work of our Guest Designer Nicole Parmentier and our DT, and enter your own beach-themed project.

House
I made this card for Paper Artsy 'Our House' challenge and Time Out photo challenge. I used stamps by Paper Artsy, Inkylicious and Bo Bunny(? I think - the word 'memories') and a brick stencil -the brick shapes are very blurry due to the amount of water I used.
This is the kind of card that I think would totally bewilder any non-crafter who received it!

City Crafter - City Scene
This week at City Crafter,Kirsty wants us to include a city scene or symbol of a city.
Here I used a Studio Calico digital city scene, coloured with alcohol markers, and stamped the sun (Hero Arts) behind it. The arc of hello words is also Studio Calico and the big 'hello' is Waffle Flower. I used Lindy's Stamp Gang spray for the background.

Mop Up
My background here was made from a piece of watercolour card I used to mop up the spills from a previous project!
I actually used this sketch from Stamp Ink Paper
Instead of having a front panel, I used text stamping (Finnibar) on the edges. I had intended to put the butterfly (Avery Elle) inside the distressed circle (Inkylicious) but it was too small and I didn't want to use a smaller butterfly, so stamped it offset from the top right wing.

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is:
For my DT card I used some paper I had leftover from a previous project - it is coloured with alcohol inks and has a Sarah Hurley text stamp randomly/ partially stamped on it. I stamped the boy, balloon, sentiment and string by Mama Elephant and paper-pieced the balloon, hat and coat. The text ob tge base card is a Hero Arts stamp.
