Snowman and Deer

 

52 Christmas Card Throwdown have a really cute theme this week - Snowman and Deer, so I decided to make a one-layer-card and also link up at Christmas Craft Creations. The stamps are Stampin Up, except the sentiment, which is Colorado Crafts. 

Winter Wear

 Here I used papers from a pad by Authentique , both as a background and to paper-piece the scarf and coat. The girl and bear stamp is by W plus 9 - it's one of those stamps I've had a lot of use from. (It's funny that I have some stamps I use repeatedly and others, which I wanted just as much, that never seem to be right.)  I stamped and embossed the ornate star (maker unknown) and added some gems.

Easter Sun

I don't usually send Easter cards, so I don't know why I'm making them but I couldn't resist this Heffy Doodles bunny. I masked him off and stencilled sun rays and then added some doodled dots and a sentiment.

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is ....Numbers. 

For my DT card, I've shared this card I made for my grandson's birthday. For international visitors, 18 is the age of majority in the UK and the age at which you can legally buy alcohol. I used an SVG electronic cutting file of a crate of beer but I made a few changes. I added hearts to the bottle necks and replaced the sentiment(which was for Father's Day) with a big 18 and, for fun, the safety warning 'Please drink responsibly'.

My Time to Craft  birthday 

Monkeying

 

It's great to see a new challenge - A Barrel of Monkeys  - and it's based around children's toys and games. 

First up is the game 'A Barrel of Monkeys' - I've not heard of this game before but that didn't stop me going off on a search for a monkey stamp. Found it!- from a MFT set 'Jungle Vibes' - but now my craft room is a right mess! 

This is a one-layer-card . I masked the monkey and repeatedly stamped the Neat and Tangled falling circles stamp. Finally, I coloured in the monkey, stamped the musical notes and sentiment.

Is F1 a sport? My son, who received this card for his 16th birthday a few weeks ago, tells me it is! 

I used a F1 car SVG cutting file and designed and cut the stepper and sentiment on my Silhouette digital die-cutter.
