Halloween Disco

Here's a photo of my son, the werewolf, and his friend, Jack-O-Lantern, at the school Halloween Disco. I used papers from Kaisercraft and a toppling pumpkins cut file from the Silhouette store.   The title (under the photo)  doesn't really show up too well - it says 2 Ghoul 4 School (thanks for the idea, Rhoda!).

City Crafter - Halloween

Bike and Balloons Birthday

One of my colleagues organised a surprise for another workmate who was turning 30. She did a little collection, got some people to bake cakes and asked me to make a card for everyone to sign. I was really nervous about this and worried about whether people would think it was good enough! But it seemed to go down well.

Anyway, I used a large card-base (I think it's 8 x8). As the birthday girl is a cyclist, I cut a bike (Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons SVG) on the Silhouette , and then the balloons (also PPPR but I had to play about with this file) . I cut the sentiment and the 30 on the Silhouette using computer fonts, and I dry embossed the background.

I'd like to enter:

Inkspirational Challenge - Black and One Other Colour

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is to use black and one other colour . For my DT card I used butterflies from Avery Elle and a sentiment (Happy Little Stampers) . I must admit it's hard to see the black in the photo!  I stamped the butterflies in blue and then added touches of black ink and stamped them over again. Then I used the blue ink as a watercolour on the wings. The base card is actually black! I think it looks more navy in the photo.

We have a fabulous Guest Designer, Cheryl , joining us, so please come over to Inkspirational to see what she's made, and see the work of the DT , before entering your own creation.

Christmas Card Swap Kit - Robin

This is the final card from the card swap kit  with Nonni and Pia .

Here I used the patterned paper from the kit and die-cut it to make the robin the focal point. I framed it using some leftover woodgrain paper from one of Nonni's kits.  I embossed the base card with a woodgrain pattern and distressed some patterned paper with a music embossed pattern, adding twine and the charm from the kit. The sentiment was cut on the Silhouette.

Fun on a Broomstick

Here's a not-very-spooky Halloween card. I use a Mo Manning digital image of a witch, that I cropped to focus on the legs on the broomstick and coloured with alcohol markers. 'Have fun' was cut on the Silhouette and the 'halloween' is an Avery Elle stamp.  The holographic mirror card I've mounted the image on is a much better match to the other purples than shows in the photo!

This challenge is right up my street!  I used nine stamps  leaf pile, to different leaves and rake (Lawn Fawn), unicorn (a different Lawn Fawn set - it's Christmas themed, but I think it works well for autumn) , sun (W plus 9) and sentiment ( two Avery Elle stamps and the magical by MFT).

Stylish Dog

This card was a commission from my (grown up!) daughter ...she told me she wanted a dressed-up dog and the words 'doggy style'. I hope that if you get the joke, you find it more amusing than offensive.

The stamp is by Woodware. I cut the words on the Silhouette and coloured with marker pens, using this week's colour combo at Less is More.

I'm Surprise Sweetie at Cupcake Inspirations!

Today, I'm honoured to be Surprise Sweetie at Cupcake Inspirations.

The challenge is a colour one:

For my card I used cardstock in the challenge colours ( I hope I got these colours right - seeing them on screen my brown looks a bit too dark!).  I cut the fox ( LD) and sentiment on the Silhouette and embossing the background with a Tim Holtz embossing folder.

I hope you'll come over to Cupcake Inspirations and enter too.

Thank you Cupcake Inspirations for having me as your Surprise Sweetie!
