City Crafter Challenge Blog - Whitewash

I chose this week's challenge at City Crafter : Whitewash.

For my DT card I cut the birds and sentiment on the Silhouette. I heat embossed a woodgrain stamp (Hero) , added a flower and then sprayed everything with white mist.....but it didn't really show very well! So, I got out some white acrylic paint and smeared it over it.

This week, Cammy  joins us as Guest Designer, so I hope you'll pop over to City Crafter, see what she and the DT have made, and enter your own whitewashed project.

I'd like to enter:
Allsorts  wings
Ooh La La  feathered friends
Eclectic Ellapu  flora and fauna

Loving the effect you've created on the background and the white birds really pop against it. Very creative card x

I got the picture when you use something and it turns out different. Clever idea to add paint; your card looks gorgeous. I love your birds on a wire!

How odd, yesterday I was making a wood embossed paper with white ink to lift the pattern, but my background was black. Never got to do anything with it though, at least not yet.
I love the look of kraft and how it goes with white, I think this card is so to my taste, really, really beautiful!
