Inkspirational Challenges - Painting or Colouring

At Inkspirational, our new challenge (chosen by Shauna) is to use paints, pencils or markers to paint or colour - a nice easy one, I think!
For my DT card I used a free Stamplorations digi and coloured it with Promarkers. I added an Avery Elle sentiment and some sugary shimmer on the donuts. I'm going to send this to my daughter - sunflowers are her favourite flower and she loves coffee ...so much cheaper and easier to send than the real thing!

The Library Challenge - Crimes Against a Book Club

The new book at The Library , is Crimes Against a Book Club  by Kathy Cooperman.

I read this book when it first came out...I think it was one of Amazon's free books for subscribers ... and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I also love the cover.

For my card, I used an image of a reading racoon from an MFT set, coloured with Promarkers, and added an embossed sentiment and stripy paper.

Not Black and White

Whilst I do love the classic black and white zebra stripes, I thought these MFT zebras might like a revamp with shades of aqua, green and blue.

The 'zebra crossing' at the bottom was made using Claudine Helmuth stamps, and the sentiment is Stampin' Up.

I'd use this card if someone was leaving my workplace or moving house away from my area.

Frantage Feeding Frenzy

I had these birch trees , stencilled with texture paste, sitting on my desk for a few days and decided to use them with this Mo's Digital Pencil image - the three little birds on the ground come separately.  I decided to use (trumpet fanfare) Frantage for some snow on the ground - I thought the dark bits could be bird seed but if so, that's an awful lot of bird seed! The sentiment is by Concord and 9th,

Library Reminder - The Moon-Spinners

I made another card for the challenge at The Library . I used a Impression Obsession (I think) stamp and left it uncoloured (apart from some shimmer on the moon, and coloured the sea and sky with Promarkers

Pot Plants

Just dashing off to link up at The Spot , as the challenge is about to close....

Okay, I'm back. I made this card to fit a few challenges (including the colour one at The Spot ) but it took longer than I'd expected due to a booboo meaning I had to remake it ( details later) and then I had visitors...

So, I die-cut a kraft panel ( similar colour for crumbcake in The Spot) and stamped potplants by Hero Arts, one masked off so I could stand it partly behind. Then I coloured them with pencils in colours which I hope match pera pizzazz and Razzleberry (the pots) . Then I thought I should re-stamp the images, because my inexpert colouring had blurred the lines - but I forgot to mask the front plant again...doh! So I'd stamped the second image overlapping the first and had to start again when my visitor's had left.

Inkspirational Challenges - Sketch

At Inkspirational, our new challenge is to be inspired by the word 'sketch'. You can use a layout sketch of your own or use some other meaning, which is what I did.

Drawing is not a skill I'd list on my CV (🙂) but , following a You-tube tutorial I managed to sketch these flowers onto paper I'd painted with twinkling watercolours. I cut them out and put them in a die-cut jar, which I'd coloured by sponging it with ink. I stamped a circle and the sentiment.

Inspired Tropical Flowers

I had to enter the last challenge of the year at Addicted to Stamps - not only is there a beautiful moodboard but also because , as someone who regularly enters all Kylie's challenges, I'm really going to miss them.  She promises they'll be back in January - they better be or I'll hunt you down.

Threats aside, here I used some Avery Elle Birds of Paradise stamps , a Marianne sentiment and a little dot stamp from some other set. I put a scrap of aqua card behind, embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder. It's mounted on a navy blue base but I know it looks black in the photo!

I'd also like to enter this into Festive Friday - my items from the inspiration list are cas, birthday and floral.

Your Inner Flamingo

inside
Here's a birthday card I made more my friend. The image is a Sassy Cheryl digi that I've had for a very long time and I coloured it with Promarkers and paper-pieced it using Echo Park paper. The sentiment is from a MFT flamingo set and I used two other stamps from that set to stamp the inside - which I don't do often enough!
