Inkspirational Challenges - Photo

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is to be inspired by the photo below.

For my DT card I used a Lindsay Mason/ Crafty Impressions stamp and cut her head off! I wanted the focus to be on the heart, and the lower part of the body, which I coloured with Promarkers to match the photo. I stamped 'I miss you' on the bottom - I think I will send it to my daughter, who I've not been able to see for three months.

Twofer - Flowers

I'm entering these into the Twofer challenge, 'flowers'.

For both cards I used an AlteNew anemone stamp which I bought just before Christmas and this is the first time I've used it.

I wouldn't know what an anemone looked like if it slapped me in the face but, instead of googling the real flowers, I imagined what they might look like...

First up, I white - embossed it off the edge of a black card and added a sentiment and white spots.  (I seem to be going through my 'black and white' period at the moment!)

As well as Twofer, I'd like to enter this into:
CAS on Friday  feel better
Allsorts  new stamps

For my second card I heat embossed the flowers onto vellum and embossed it from behind using a stylus. I coloured the leaves from the back with a marker and attached the panel to a frame. Then I stuck it onto a cerise card and stamped the sentiment.

I'd also like to enter this one into:

The Library Challenge - A Room with a View

The new challenge at The Library is A Room with a View by EM Forster.

I was inspired by the woman playing piano on the cover and I used a digi stamp by A Day for Daisies, now sadly closed. I coloured with Promarkers and paper-pieced her dress.

The Cat's Bell

I decided to join the challenge at As You See It and make a quick card using things from my bits box. I started off gathering everything together - the Pure Innocence image was one I coloured before Christmas but never made into a card, and the patterned paper was scraps. I started looking around for an embellishment I could add and my eyes fell on a little bell.

Crafting friends, will it shock you to hear that the little bell is one I picked off the floor after it fell off my cat's teaser toy? I DID wash it!

Anyway, once I got going it took me 9mins 58 to make the card - most of the time fiddling with the bell tbh.

Inkspirational Challenges - Mask

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is to be inspired by the word 'Mask'.

I think we had this same challenge theme a few years ago but since then, the word has become part of our everyday life!

For my DT card , I printed , coloured (with Promarkers)  and cut out a digi by Mo's Digital Pencil. I masked the 'ground', using a cut piece of paper and stamped the MFT city background (I'm getting a LOT of use out of this stamp!).  I added some gel pen to the windows for lights. Then I stamped the sentiment (from For the Love of Stamps).

Guest Designer at Addicted to Stamps

I'm very proud today to be a Guest Designer at Addicted to Stamps !  ATS is a fantastic challenge, run by a wonderful woman (Kylie) and they've had a few months off so I want you all to know that it's back and the challenge is 'Make Your Mark' - so stamping, colouring , so many options....

For my card, it's the first inking of this mouse stamp from a Colarado Craft / Anita Jeram stamp set I bought just before Christmas. I love this set, but I may be controversial in telling you I chopped off the 'Anita Jeram' signature which was attached to the mouse's bottom. I'm afraid this is a pet hate of mine(no pun intended!)  - if you sell the rights to your drawings with the sole purpose of them being used to make craft items, I don't think you get to keep your signature on it. Anyway, no-one's going to think I drew the mouse - the little circles going up to the thought bubble are the pinnacle of my drawing skills.

So, the 'just a little note' was from the same set and the thought bubble is by Craftwork Cards and the Hello from a lost-the-packet old sentiment set.
