Rocker Penguin

I think this is the first time I've made a rocker card but I'm going to make more as it was so easy but the rocking adds a fun element. Here I used a digistamp _ I think it's Bugaboo, coloured with Promarkers .

Embossing and Polar Bear

If you've noticed an upsurge in my volume of blog posts, it's because I'm a Christmascardmaking maniac!

Here I used a very old favourite stamp - the polar bear by Anita's - with an inked up Cuttlebug embossing folder. The banner is a Penny Black die-cut I was lucky to win in a challenge.

Bearing Gifts

Here I used a Pure Innocence image of a girl holding presents. These images are identified with a particular stamping brand now, but I got this (and several others) when the artist used to sell them as digi stamps. The advantage of being a digi is that I could flip it around so she was facing the other way and resize it.  I coloured it with Promarkers, added a die-cut triangle 'tree', a sentiment and a MFT background stamp in white.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

I made this card as an extra card for my challenge at The Library , and to enter a few other challenges as well.

The stamp is by Clarity - they made a series of stamps using verses from the poem 'A Visit from St Nicholas' but this is the only one I have.

I white embossed it on kraft, coloured the reindeer with marker pen. I painted the moon with glitter glue and added Liquid Pearl snow.

Inkspirational Challenges - Kitten Photo

This is my DT card for Inkspirational, inspired by the photo below :

When I chose this photo for the challenge, about a year ago as our challenges are planned for the year ahead, I didn't imagine that by the time the challenge went live I'd have a cat myself! My cat isn't a baby anymore - he's 7 months and we've noticed he seems to be at a similar stage to my 13 year old son. 😀
He doesn't look much like any of the cats on my card either, as he's black and white - too hard to colour!

So, my card ....one layer, a Little Claire stamp, coloured in with Promarkers. I added a sort of rough halo around them and added gel pen snow (my favourite kind of snow!) Then I stamped the sentiment (can't remember brand).

The Library Challenge - The Night Before Christmas

Woo, bit late with this, been busy this week with work and also house-hunting and getting ready to (hopefully) move house. So, I'm really sorry that I'm behind with commenting and also not been able to do much visiting of my favourite crafters but hopefully find time soon....

The new challenge at The Library is the book of the poem 'The Night Before Christmas'.

It was the night before Christmas and all through the house , not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

My gift-carrying mice are from a new Colorado Crafts set - I coloured them with watercolour pencils and paper-pieced the present with poinsettia patterned paper. The ribbon was coloured with gold glitter pen and the sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set (the one with the cooking mice).

The Library Challenge - Christmas Shopaholic

The new challenge at The Library is Christmas Shopaholic by Sophia Kinsella.  This is a new book in a series of seven 'shopaholic' books.  My daughter used to read these when she was younger.
For my card, I used an old Stampendous stamp (with a Woodware sentiment) and I paper-pieced in two patterned papers and added shimmer pen and glitter drops.

Autumn Bags

Here are some bags I made for a mini-event I hosted in my back garden last weekend!

For the last few years, my best friend and I and our grown-up daughters have attended a fashion and beauty show in London with 'Vips' tickets, which included a fabulous goody bag stuffed with products.
Of course, this year it couldn't be held.  So we decided to organise a get-together and use the money saved to create our own goody bags - we bought four of everything and my son packed them for us into the bags I'd made so that it'd be a surprise. The products in the goody bags were the best ever!

So anyway, I made the actual bag to put it all in, using plain ready-made cotton bags. I masked a square and stamped using three wood block stamps  (Stampin Up, Hero and PSX) and added a touch of colour with two ink sprays. Then I used my Silhouette electronic cutter and a heat press to add the words 'still vips' (which is the name of our Whatsapp group).

For Covid regulations reasons we had to stay in the garden and the day before it was chucking down with rain and was even drizzling earlier on in the morning. But by the time my guests arrived it had dried up and the weather was mild and we sat drinking Prosecco cocktails in our coats and had a fabulous time.
