Library Challenge - I'll Take Manhattan

First I must apologise - I'm having a really busy time at the moment and have done very little crafting and not been able to visit my favourite bloggers. Hopefully things will calm down at work soon and I'll have a bit more time and energy.

The new book at The Library is I'll take Manhattan.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I've ever read this book - I actually have another of her books, Princess Daisy, in my bookcase but I thought the this cover and title were more versatile. I did love this genre of novels in 80s when I was a very young woman, but I wonder what I'd think if I re-read them now. (I've obviously been thinking of re-reading Princess Daisy someday if I've hung onto it all this time!)

For my card, I was inspired by the woman's 'yay' gesture. I cut the sentiment on the silhouette and the girl is a Waffle Flower stamp.

The Yay gesture is perfect for the book challenge theme and what a fun card. Hope life slows down soon for you x.

I'd forgotten all about The Author, I loved Princess Daisy book, but don't think I've read the Manhatten one. Great take on the book cover.
