Ice-Cream Van

 

This ice-cream van, coloured with Promarkers, is an old digi image from Jellypark. The patterned paper is by Pink Paislee and the sentiment (on the back step) is an epoxy sticker from the same range - but I do find it irritating that the apostrophe is missing from 'it's'!

Inkspirational - Use Stencils

As some of you may know, my crafty hobby had to take a backseat for about 18 months, while I had lots of (positive) life changes and now I'm back I'm noticing some trends that have rocketed while I was 'away'. 

One of these is layering stencils, something I was inspired to try for my Inspirational DT card. 

This Pink Fresh stamp has a set of  layering stencils to go with it. I did find them tricky to use and this wasn't my first attempt. Tbh I don't really feel the result was worth the effort. Also, I've seen layering stencils, demoed on Youtube, that can be used with or without a co-ordinating stamp, so I'm a bit disappointed that this one cannot be used independently, It doesn't seem worth the cost. But I'm glad I tried it. 

As a side note, the die-cut Hello has been in my stash for years - I think it's from a swap cahllenge I did with Pia and Nonni - and that's my favourite bit of the card! 

Stencilled Trees

 I stencilled these trees with brown ink onto kraft cardstock.

I was inspired by the pink, white and gold colour scheme at Time Out, but I wanted to use this robin from MFT, so I decided to make its red breast, pink.

Dinosaur Wedding

 

I made this card for my niece's wedding, She and her husband are in their 20s ( so definitely not dinos themselves!) but they had a dinosaur theme to their invitations and favours etc , which gave me the idea for the card.  I cut the dinosaurs and hearts on my Silhouette machine and printed the sentiment from my PC.

Butterfly Summer

 

Here, I made a watercolour smooshed background , stamped and masked the butterfly, stamped the flowers and sentiment, added splatters and some patterned paper and stuck on a card base.

Unfortunately, the weather in south-east England this weekend has failed to meet my expectations :) so I've spent some time crafting, and staying out of the wind. 

Here I used two sets of old stamps - I think they were both Papermania.

I made this birthday card for my niece. I had to make her a stepper card as I'd made this one for her twin. They are mid-twenties and live in different towns but I still felt it wouldn't be 'fair' to give one twin a fun fold and the other a plain rectangle!!!

Anyway, this one's very personal as my niece has a Portugese Podengo and so I googled it and cut a silhouette out on my Silhouette Cameo. Now I'm worried it's not 'fair' as her twin's card didn't have a personal twist! Minefield.
