City Crafter Challenge Blog - You Can Do It

This week, at City Crafter, Stella has challenged us to make our own backgrounds.

For my DT card, I made a birthday card for a three-year-old, using a Woodware submarine stamp. (It had to be yellow, of course).

When I try out background techniques I tend to do a few at a time, so I grabbed a background I'd made a while back with metallic markers and water. I mixed clear texture paste with Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals in yellow and applied it through a stencil for the rays.

I hope you will have a go at making your background for this challenge, but first please come over to City Crafter and see what the rest of the DT have made.
I'd like to enter:
Try it on Tuesday  transport
Shopping Our Stash  something fussy cut (submarine)
Cardz 4 Guyz  music - The Beatles Yellow Submarine
Crafty Purple Frog  for a child
Dream Valley  blue and yellow

Oh brilliant! I started singing along as soon as I saw the thumbnail in our gallery at Cardz 4 Guyz. I think I'll need to get that stamp as I'm always struggling for card making ideas for my Beatles crazy son in law. Thanks very much for playing along.
