Two Christmas Box Cards

My daughter and I fantasise about going to New York near Christmastime, for the shopping - so I made this first card for her.  I used manual dies plus stamps and markers.

Sparkles Monthly Christmas Transport

This one was cut on a Silhouette digital cutter and I've kept largely to the design - I just changed up the colours, used patterned paper on the trees, liquid pearl snow and stamped the sentiment.

Little Penguin

This little MFT penguin is skipping through the dry-embossed snow, with die-cut trees and sentiment.

Inkspirational Challenges - Stencils

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is

For my DT card I create a scene with a loose stencil background, a die cut Christmas tree and stamped streetlight, cute animals and sentiment.

This is my last challenge with Inkspirational. After 12 years I am leaving the DT with sadness and pride - they are a wonderful team and a fantastic challenge blog - but competing priorities have meant that I haven't felt I've been 'pulling my weight' lately and so it's time to move on.

I hope you'll go over there now and see what the DT have made and enter your own creation.

Paper-pieced Cas Christmas

Here I used an old wood- backed stamp and I paper-pieced the noel. I subtly coloured the animals and stamped a sentiment.

A Happy Accident?

Whoops! I took the top off a mica ink spray, trying to unblock the nozzle, and managed to knock the whole thing over. Luckily, I was holding it in a cardboard box, so I grabbed some plain cardstock and mopped the spillage up. I made these two cards with it.

For the first, I used reindeer and chimney stamps, a diecut 'noel' and wooden stars.

For my second card, I used an embossing folder on the card with the mopped up ink. The snowman was a free digi - I coloured his scarf with glitter pen and layered die-cut snowflakes behind.

Holly

I made this card using a big holly stamp by Colorado Craft. I stamped it first in gold, then shifted it a bit and stamped again in black. Then I coloured it with markers.

Bridge of Snowmen

Here's a bridge card made with two snowmen digis - I've had them a few years and I think they were free but I can't remember where from. I paper-pieced their scarves with the reverse of the snowflake patterned paper. The speech bubble sentiments are Purple Onion.

Can't Wait

I enjoyed making this card, even though you couldn't get more minimal! Just two stamps, a black in k pad and four marker pens - and done.
