Under the Sun

Seeing one of  Ros Crawford's wonderful cards recently reminded me that I had the same old freebie stamp, a real favourite.

Here I stencilled yellow sunrays and stamped the silhouettes. The small seagull is part of the stamp and the large seagull is from another set. The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

You couldn't get a simpler card but it's taken me at least an hour-and-a-half. Just choosing a sentiment stamp took me ages.  It's the faffing about that takes the time!

I'd like to enter:
Shopping Our Stash  silhouettes
Casology  sunbeam
Retro Rubber  beach  stamp must be five years old or more

Such a wonderful nautical card! I just might use this one as inspiration. :D Thank you for playing with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will join us again soon. (By the way, to clarify our requirement, the stamp must be one year old or older, not 5 years old.)

Oh, I agree - it is the faffing about that takes the time aka the thinking! What a fabulous card. The sunray backing for the silhouette and sentiment is really striking. It's a great clean design. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber Challenge this week.

This turned out perfect with the stenciled sunrays, and everything else is in its right place.
