Bunny Balloons Birthday

Catching up a bit today... this card was made for my daughter, whose birthday was on Valentine's Day.

I used the rabbit from Clearly Besotted but I masked off  the balloon it was holding and added these heart balloons from Clearly Besotted, which I paper-pieced. The houses are Concord and 9th , the Happy Birthday is Marianne and the 'daughter' is Waffle Flower - so that was five different sets I used, which I always enjoy! I coloured everything with Promarkers.

The Library Challenge - Garden Birdwatcher's Bible

Well, honestly, I don't know how I dare to show my face around here, I've been so slow with my commenting and so rubbish at visiting my favourite blogs. Please forgive me.

The reasons are, like so many of us, I'm working online full-time right now and there's only so much time you can spend sitting in front of a screen.  Also, as I previously mentioned, we're preparing for a house move, which involves an unprecedented amount of time cleaning and decluttering. I'd never realised how dirty we are! And what hoarders!

Anyway, this card is for my challenge at The Library -  Garden Birdwatcher's Bible. I was inspired to use a bird book for the challenge from my house-hunting activities. Many houses advertised online have 3d virtual tours (similar to Google street view). If you have an ounce of nosiness in your character, I urge you to look for these - so fascinating! While viewing the house, I can't resist having a snoop in their bookcases (an occasional craft-room comes up too!). I've noticed that nearly every house I look at has a book on birds! Also, they almost all have a cookbook by Nigella Lawson. (This is UK,so this probably won't be true abroad). The funny thing is, in my house, we also have a book on birds and a Nigella cookbook! I would never dream of recording a 3d tour though!

Enough rambling, I made this card for my partner's stepfather's birthday and used the colour-scheme from CAS on Friday .

Inkspirational Challenges - Tower

Here's my DT make for Inkspirational:

I seem to have several stamps of animals forming a tower by standing on top of each other! This one, is an old favourite from Penny Black. I coloured it with Promarkers and added two strips of patterned paper, one of which was cut with a border punch.

The Library Challenge - Big Red Bath

The new challenge at The Library is Big Red Bath :

This is another book that I used to enjoy reading with my son when he was younger. I was inspired by the cover and luckily, I had the Lawn Fawn bath set with the bubbles. The challenge then was to find animal stamps small enough to fit into it and luckily I found these from HunkyDory For the Love of Stamps. I had to replace the hippo with an elephant though! The sentiment stamps are from Waffle Flower.

Inkspirational Challenges - Hearts

Hi Everyone. I'm struggling to photograph cards at the moment due to poor light and erratic weather! This is my DT make for Inskpirational

As you can see, I'm still going through my black and white stripes period! I stamped this stamp ( I think it's Indigo Blue) off the edge, in blue and then ran it through an embossing folder. I added Nuvo drops in pearly blue.
