I recently smartened up my craft room and got a new desk which has a magnetic board to pin up bits of paper...so I made some magnets to go on it.
I was inspired by the photo at Addicted to Stamps to use a set of 'sweet treat' themed stamps, an old magazine freebie, from my 'empty box project' box.
Just to recap:
On New Year's day I revealed my stamping shame - a big box of unused stamps - and started my Empty Box project. My aim is to work through the box , one stamp/ stamp set at a time and see if I can use them. If I can't use them, I will dispose of them. The aim is to finish with an empty box.
One of my problems with magazine freebie stamps is they are often (I feel) too small to make an impact - but here, I turned the smallness to my advantage. I stamped and coloured the images and punched a circle from them, which I stuck to a flattened bottle cap. Then I covered the whole thing with 'glossy accents' and attached a magnet to the back.

My mum collects magnets and I just realized what a great gift idea this is for her. And small freebie stamps, I've got loads to...
Marina, these are absolutely darling! You've turned mini images into magnets with maximum impact! Totally adorable - and practical! Win-win all around! I'm guessing you won't be stopping at just these two, right *grin*! Thank you for bringing these sweet treats to the ATSM gallery!
