It's the ninth of December and I still haven't achieved the goals of my self-imposed challenge ,
Pro-Am Showdown,
where I CASE a mass-produced card to make my own, amateur version. I'd better ramp up my productivity if I don't want to have an epic fail!
Here's the card I cased:
|
The professional version |
For my amateur version I used a Little Claire stamp, which I heat embossed in silver on a navy cardstock. I coloured the scene with Polychromos pencils, which I'm not very good with tbh, but I felt the colouring looked better after went over it with a Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen.

Close up sparkle and shine

I'd like to enter:
Retro Rubber colours ( don't know age of stamp but must be over 2 years)
Tuesday Throwdown Christmas scene
Winter Wonderland anything goes
I love these showdown posts! I feel like I should try it sometime too.
ReplyDeleteI really like your card, the added bonus of the shimmer pen is that it looks a nice shine overall just like the kind of cardstock they use for store-bought cards. Good job with this one, too!
What a great case, Marina! I love your coloring--beautifully festive card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, in my opinion far better than the 'professional' version :)

Your houses look like they're painted glass, a very special and beautiful look!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great CASE, Marina! I like yours better! The houses look shimmery. I'm amazed to read that you used pencil over navy cardstock - it's such good coverage and strong colour. The house stamps are lovely. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber Challenge with this beauty!
