Silhouettes on Silhouette


Here's my first project made using my new Silhouette Cameo , that I got for my birthday last week. I've been thinking of getting an electronic cutting machine for a while, but was worried it might make crafting too easy and take away the fun of the challenge. So far, though, I've found picking stray hairs off the super-sticky cutting mat challenging enough!

Although (if you want)  you can get stuff that's just cut out and go, there's still plenty of scope for traditional crafting with the machine. Here I've used two seperate cutting files - the window with the cat and the Eiffel Tower together with some low tech inking, stamping (Hero Arts woodgrain, Non-Sequitur 'France') and the old post-it note moon trick.

I've just scratch the surface of the Silhouette's capabilities though - it's going to take a while to get to know it.

  9. Gosh Marina this is striking, the colours with the silhouettes look great. I haven't looked into this type of crafting, think it seems scary to me!!
