Auld Lang Syne

Happy New Year! Okay, so it's mid-May but I was inspired by Drunken Stampers' Braveheart challenge, to think about men in kilts ! (Wahay!)   I knew I had a bagpiper image somewhere and found him on Peerless Designs 12 Days of Christmas CD (He's a piper piping).  Then I had a 3 hour search of paper packs, cds, digital images..to find the right tartan to paper-piece him with! Then I created the sentiment.  It all took so long that I'm barely scraping in for the deadline.

The other inspiration that brought this card together is a new challenge, As You Like It - use your fave die or punch. I love this clock die by Sizzix/Tim Holtz - it fits so many themes and adds a bit of shape to the project.

  7. Is there a better choice than to paper piece him with tartan patterned paper? I think not:) This card definitely gives me the right "Scottish feel"!
