Diving In

My daughter asked me to make a 40th birthday card for her to give to a colleague. She sent me a photo of this poster for inspiration:

It took me a while to come up with an idea, but when I saw this card by Carol Mcfarlane, I was inspired to make a card with a diving swimmer. (Carol's card was inspired by an art print too!)

My card is a bridge card with acetate to support the diver. The diver is a Glitz SVG from the Silhouette store , cut on a digital cutter.  I dry embossed the base and sides and stamped Happy Birthday.

I'd like to enter:

The Sisterhood of Crafters  - shapes - diamonds on the embossing and the 'pool' is a trimmed off triangle.

Krafty Chicks - all occasions

  8. Your daughter has given you many fun themes and challenges for her card needs through the years, and you always solve the challenges with ease - or that's how it looks when I see the finished result. This particular card has something of a retro vibe to it, it reminds me of a candy I got as a child, look here: https://www.ta.no/nyheter/mat-og-drikke/godteri/vet-du-dette-om-lordagsgodtet/s/5-50-336606
