I made this card for my partner's mother's birthday. I had previously scanned the Avery Elle butterfly stamps into my PC, so I used the welding tool on Silhouette Studio to cut a card blank using their outline to make a border. Then I lined 3/4 of the inside with some scrap patterned paper, stamped the butterflies onto the same paper and cut them out.
I added colour and highlights using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. The reason the big butterfly is assymetrical is because I followed the line of a pattern that I'd stamped it on. It was only afterwards I thought -oh, butterflies are symmetrical! Then I thought- who cares? !
Finally, I stuck on the butterflies, propping one of each butterfly's wings up with a foam pad.
I'd like to enter:
Really lovely design. Anesha

ReplyDeleteIt's a simple and effective design, love how the card front is shaped to fit the butterflies' wings. The assymetri is nothing that makes the card less beautiful:)
