The Library Challenge - Elmer

The new challenge at The Library is Elmer by David McKee.

Elmer By David McKee

The first time I saw the patterned paper I used on my shaped elephant card, I thought of Elmer, a book that I'd first come across when teaching English to parents in schools. When I tell you that the paper is by Basic Grey (who closed down several years ago) you'll realise I've been waiting to use it for some time!

Anyway, for this card, I used an electronic cutting file on the Silhouette. I popped up half of the ear to give it dimension and I made an eye out of a punch and a black enamel dot.

I'd like to enter this card into:
Inspired by  a fortuitous coincidence that their challenge is patchwork

My second card is somewhat less colourful. It's a belated birthday card, using an elephant by Aal and Create and words and texture stamps from other companies.

  5. Your shaped elephant card with a patchwork of different colors is so original and fun! I can’t imagine a card being more spot on to replicate the style of the cover. And it’s truly adorable in a fun way. The second design is also cute.
