For a couple of days I've been mulling over some ideas for the
Twofer Challenge, harvest theme.
My daughter came to visit yesterday, and asked me to make a Thanksgiving card for her to give to a friend. She was very surprised when I said 'Yes please! Thank you! Thank you!'. You see , I've always seen fabulous Thanksgiving cards on people's blogs and always wanted to make one but we don't have that holiday in the UK. But my daughter's friend is married to an American , and they've invited her round for an early Thanksgiving celebration before they go to the States.
So anyway, when I was composing my Thanksgiving card I realised that the stamps I used also worked for Harvest and the bread loaf, could double up as a 'bun' to go in the oven....
So here's my first ever Thanksgiving card , I used stamps from 3 different sets and stamped them in brown ink. I stamped over the sentiment and foliage with a gold ink and although it doesn't really look gold, when you move the card, it shimmers.

I needed to make this card really quickly, because for Twofer, I had to photograph both cards together and my daughter wanted to take the Thanksgiving card away with her. So I went with a CAS, one-layer design. If you're visiting my blog and don't understand the occasion, we have a joke in the UK (and probably elsewhere) that when a woman's pregnant she has a 'bun in the oven'. So, it's a pregnancy congratulations card.

As you like it I like many styles of cards, but I do tend towards the simpler designs most often.
