Windmill

This set by Avery Elle was an impulse buy - I'm always attracted to windmills in real life and in crafts. But it has set on my desk for weeks - I just couldn't think of what to do with it. Googling images brought up loads of lovely designs - but that didn't really help as I thought all ideas had been taken and done better than I could. Then I noticed that all the designs I was looking at had used the matching dies to cut them out. So I thought I'd make a card with just some simple stamping, masking and colouring. The sentiments are by Hampton Art.

I'd like to enter:

TGIF photo inspiration (inspired by the tulip)

  1. This is a really fun card and I love how you've colored it. I have that problem sometimes too-I buy a set on a whim and then it sits there catching dust until I come up with an idea for it. So glad you had a chance to use this set as the card came out so well! Thanks for playing with us this week at TGIF Challenges!

  2. Super cute and springy with the flowers. I like it! I sometimes do the same thing and keep a set on my desk too long. I wonder if you forced yourself to stamp it right away if it wouldn’t take away the pressure.

  3. I just love your pretty scene. The tulips should start blooming here in Washington state in a few weeks and your card reminds me of the garden in Mt. Vernon. And the sentiment is just perfect! I think I may need that set. Thanks for playing with us over at Cards in Envy!

  6. What a great scene you created with this windmill. I too love windmills and I don't think I have a single windmill stamp (need to change that don't I?). Thanks for playing along with us in our "no patterned paper" challenge at Cards in Envy.
