My daughter asked me to make a card for her colleague ( a fellow midwife) who is celebrating her 50th birthday with a trip to Australia.
I designed and cut it entirely on the Silhouette (digital cutter) , using computer fonts and outlines of images found on the net. (The hole is the outline of the map of Australia). To add texture I used a Stampin Up embossing folder, and I cut the 50 and the kangaroo (or is it a wallaby?) from glitter card.
I'd like to enter:
Cards in Envy no patterned paper
Use Your Stuff travel
Shopping Our Stash no ink - it was a struggle and I nearly failed at the last minute with a stamped sentiment - but ended up die-cutting it.
Little Red Wagon hippity hoppity - the kangaroo.

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome card! Geez, Marina, you are so thoughtful and creative-- your cards often are so personalized-- I love that! The addition of embossing the white panel looks awesome. And the glittery kangaroo (yes, I believe your're right!) just makes this SOOO Aussie! Thanks for sharing this ink-free project at SOS.
