Happy Valentine's Day and it's also my daughter's birthday , which has condemned her to a lifetime of heart themed birthday cards.
Here I used a set by My Favorite Things. The'daughter' stam is by Waffle Flower. The cutting was done on the Silhouette. Can you see the silly mistake I made when sticking the paper behind the aperture??!!

Well now, I think the hearts looks like they're flying by faster than a super hero. Honestly Marina, if I hadn't read what you'd done I wouldn't have ever noticed - even so its still a fun cute card for your daughter and it adds to the uniqueness of a handmade card x
ReplyDeleteHi Marina, what a wonderful Valentine you received some years back! And quite honestly, I can think of worse things to be stuck with for a birthday than heart-themed birthday cards. I love the way you've pictured your daughter as a super-hero. Great use of the patterned paper for her outfit and the insert for the background heart (yes, it's sideways, but it looks great). Love the linen look to your paper, too. Such a cute card! And sending birthday wishes to your darling daughter. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very sweet card! Happy Valentine’s Day to you! My cousin has a birthday today, but I don’t usually give him heart cards! Lol
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter! At least no one will forget her birthday and she shares the day with some pretty famous people. Your super cute heroine is an awesome theme for the card, and your sideways hearts give it a look of flying so great job! Thanks so much Marina for sharing at the Watercooler Wednesday "Any Occasion" challenge this week. Super great card!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter! And the mistake looks cool! I thought they were little bracket patterns!

Hahaha, I think the 'mistake' looks absolutely fine! I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't drawn our attention to it, but I don't think it looks strange - hearts can be sideways if they want to be :D
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful card, and I bet your daughter loved it!

I thought the background hearts going sideways was intentional to add interest! it looks perfectly cute with that paper-pieced outfit on the super hero too! Cute card for your Valentine's day gift of your daughter :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card! Love the heart cut out and the sweet image! I'm taking the hearts as the wind blowing them just like her hair and cape! I'm sure your daughter will love it!
ReplyDeleteOh so cute--love the little hearts paper! I'm sure your daughter loves this card!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is sure to love this card, Marina! Thanks for joining us at The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week. Marsha DT
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn’ spot the mistake before you pointed it out, I actually took it for a knitted inspired pattern. I don’t think it makes it a less sweet card at all.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet card for a really lovely occasion ;o) And there are definately worse things than love-themed birthday cards in the world ;o)))) Thank you so much for joining our current challenge at PINspirational Challenges! Have a wonderful week and happy crafting!
