Inkspirational Challenge 134 - Photo
Our new challenge at Inkspirational is to be inspired by this photo, that I took when on holiday in Dinard, France:
For my DT card I stamped and embossed some feathers (Bo Bunny) in white on very dark grey card, and cut them out. I cut the circles on the Silhouette , stamped the sentiment and used a woodgrain embossing folder for the base.
I hope you'll come over to Inkspirational and join in our challenge.

Casology I've stolen DT Deidre's idea of feathers flowing, but also the circles flowing around them.
Happy belated birthday to you Marina! I hope you had a great day! Your card of today is beautiful, love the feathers on it!

First of all, what a wonderful eye for design you have-- you saw this shop in France and appreciated out so much you took a picture! (Then thought: how can I translate this into card-making?) Love it! The individual pieces of your card rock, as does the combined effect! Thank you for sharing this inspiring piece (and post) at Shopping Our Stash this week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love the feathers. Thank you for sharing your card with us at MMC for our Anything Goes challenge. We hope to see you again soon.

How fabulous that you snapped this lovely store front and, down the road, saw it as a perfect challenge opportunity! Speaks to your eye for design as well as your ability to see 'potential' in things that I know I certainly would have over-looked! Your card captures several of the highlights from the photo in the woodgrain, the black/white and the 'hoops'. Gorgeous! I hear you about sometimes 'not' going into stores when you're with "the guys"; my husband can be the same, unless, of course, a bike shop is involved *grin*

Usually I find photo challenges, well, challenging, but there are so many directions one could take with this one. Absolutely love the photo and your take on it. I've got plenty of feather dies but haven't come across stamps yet, these are great. Sorry I missed your birthday, hope you had a great one!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that you took this photo! That is even more inspiring! Your card is lovely. Those black feathers against the wood grain with circles... just perfect for the photo!
