GD at Shopping Our Stash - Fantastic Beasts

This month I have the honour of being Guest Designer for Shopping Our Stash , and the challenge this week is to feature a 'fantastic beast'.

The background was made with Brushos and I distressed the edges. The clock dial was cut with a Tim Holtz die and I coloured it with gold gilding wax. The unicorn was a picture I  traced  on the Silhouette and cut out of pearlised white card. The sentiment is a Docrafts stamp.

I hope you'll come and join in at Shopping Our Stash.

I'd like to enter:

  3. ooooooooooooooooooh!!! what a great card, to start with that background is *LUSCIOUS* the clock die is perfect, and then SO CLEVER to have traced an image with the silhouette (somewhat reviving my desire for an electronic diecutter if it can do THAT at any size one needs?!) plus mega bonus points for using pearlized cardstock which makes the unicorn stand out even more!!! <3

  11. I bow down! This is so aesthetically appealing-- the colors, contrast, and design. Then you go and distress the edges of inky paper... my heart just sings.

  15. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently, but my brusho backgrounds never turn out like this, here it's looks more 'oily' and the colors floating together. I often get white areas, maybe I'm using too little powder or water or the wrong kind of paper. A fairytale like card fit for a grownup as well.
