Today, I'm delighted to be the Guest Designer at Time Out .
The challenge is to be inspired by these words:
'With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new
beginning'
When I first saw the challenge theme , I thought 'help!' but then the ideas started to flow and I could think of several ways to use this theme. (You can see another one of mine next Thursday at the halfway stage of the challenge.)
Okay, I admit this card does look a bit like a breakfast cereal logo but at least it doesn't look like a Christmas card, which is what I'd been making loads of before I made this.
All the elements were cut on the Silhouette electronic die-cutter and the sentiment is a Clearly Besotted stamp.
Please do go over to Time Out and see what the DT have made and join in the challenge.

I really like the combo of colours and that you kept the image black, it gives a great contrast to the sunrise. We are delighted to have you as GD x
ReplyDeleteWow, it's a geat challenge! And your card is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove your rooster silhouette (French symbol 😉).
Well done!
I love roosters and your card is delightful Marina! The fun checks and sunrise make a perfect pairing with Mr Rooster :)
ReplyDeleteA happy and bright card Marina
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
I love this card; and your rooster is fab! What a brilliant idea to use a quote as an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being the GD--absolutely terrific card for that quote!
ReplyDeleteI think this is very quaint! I love the country feel!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your GD role, Marina! You've interpreted the quote wonderfully with your sunrise card! Breakfast cereal logo? Oh my...NOT! Rather, a cheerful card that has warmed my heart as I watch the snow falling...

What a fabulous country scene, Marina ... the bold background colours are just delicious with the black silhouette rooster! Delighted to have you guest designing with us at Time Out! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteLove the gingham background creating a wonderful farmhouse morning scene in my mind's eye. Love the contrast of that black rooster. It's wonderful to have you as GD for this challenge. Thanks for joining us, and Happy New Year to you! Stephanie L, TO DT.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Marina! I love the plaid paper for bg, it gives such a rustic look, perfect for these images!
ReplyDeleteThis rustic card design is appropriate for many kinds of occasions, a great card to have on hand. Even though I make hundreds of cards a year I still feel I've never got a fitting card ready for birthdays and other occasions, so this type of cards is really handy to keep in your stash for a last minute need. Hope you had a lovely Christmas and a great new year celebration. We just had a quiet and comfortable evening at home yesterday. I'm not much for celebrating New Years, I don't fancy all the fire work (or rather, the non sober people firing them up).
ReplyDeleteChuckle - a breakfast cereal!! Only when you said it I see it. I think it's a great example of a crisp and bright card, and it's perfect for the sentiment. Thanks for Guest Designing at Time Out with us!! Jenny x
