Guest DT- CD Sunday - Land of the Pharoahs

This is my second week as a guest design team member at CD Sunday  and everyone has made me feel really welcome. This week's challenge  is 'Land of the Pharoahs'.

I decided to make a pyramid box (geddit?!!). Years ago I bought one pyramid box blank and I've been using it as a template ever since!

For the box, I used black Coredinations with terracotta on the other side. I sanded the creases for an aged effect. I lined each side with scenes from Debbi Moore 'Egyptian Promise' CD , edged with gold pen.  I added two images from the CD, also edged with gold. To tie the top I used a Mizuhiki  cord. Remember them? I bought some when they were the latest thing and could never do the knotting thing!
So, what about you? Dig out your cds and come and join in at CD Sunday this week.

  5. What a brilliant take on the challenge Marina. Love the box and the way you have decorated. Yes - I remember that cord. I actually made a card with one of those knots (which turned out quite well)but then seem to steer away from oriental cards.
