At The Library, the book is Bridget Jones's Diary.
I read this book when it was fairly new in the 90s but I've seen the film several times since then and I must confess that I'm not sure which bits were in the book and which were just in the film! The Christmas jumper , worn by Mark Darcy, for example : was that in the book? Well, it was part of the inspiration for my card above.

For my second card I was inspired by the wine glass and the pink on the cover ...and can imagine Bridget in the bath singing 'All by Myself'.

Such fun cards, Marina! I just love the bright happy colours and images that bring on a smile! I just adore your second card! Thanks so much for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteHaha, when I saw the prompt I immediately thought about Christmas jumpers, then saw you'd already used it. (Now I'm wondering about how to work blue soup into a card). But I'm really here to comment on the second card, which is a real stunner. I love the way you've coloured the tiles, it gives them a real steamed-up look

Great cards, Marina. Both are so wonderfully feminine. I love the "nod" to Bridget Jones' Diary in the first as well as the lovely colouring and shading of the image. What fun that you used the same patterned paper for the background as you did for her sweater (jumper). Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteThat gal in the first card really reminds me of Bridget! Nice job!
