The stamp I chose is a Bo Bunny feather stamp with text on it.
My first card:
Here I used an A Day for Daisies clear stamp , stamped in dark blue and coloured with a single blue Promarker. I traced the feather stamp , and another feather from the same set , in Silhouette Studio and digitally die cut them, then stamped onto the die cut and coloured then with the same Promarker.
The sentiment was just one that was on my desk (from a Woodware set, I think) and I thought it went nicely with the image. I think it could work for a birthday card but also for some other special event like a woman's graduation day , for example.
Finally I added Nuvo drops and then shimmer pen to the birds and some of the feathers.
As well as Twofers, I'd also like to enter this into:

For my second card I stamped the lantern (from a different Bo Bunny set) and then stamped the feather inside. I coloured them with water and Lindy's Magicals, which are a powder paint like Brushos but with a shimmer. I cut them out and put them onto a stencilled cardbase and stamped 'thank you'. Then I doodled strings and a frame.

Oh, I'm so happy you like the idea of my challenge, Marina! Thank you for that and for playing! I love how you really embraced the concept with these two distinctly different and smashing designs!! The lanterns with the offset feathers is brilliant, and colored and doodled perfectly!! Mwah! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteHi Marina, what an amazing couple of cards you've created for your "twofer". The feather does double duty beautifully. Love the blue and white of your first card. The tiny birds circling the pretty image of the young lady lead into the arc of feathers perfectly. Love the details of the feathers and the care you've taken to add so much detail to them. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
