Fiendishly Fiddly

Last night I amused myself by stamping this Indigo Blu crowd scene onto subtly patterned paper and then paper-piecing some of the dogs using two other patterned papers. It was fiendishly fiddly!

I was going to add a sentiment, but realised I hadn't left any room for one! It will have to go inside.

City Crafter - Hang out the Flags

It's my turn to choose the challenge at City Crafter  and I challenge you to use bunting, banners or flags on your creation.

I made a wedding card, featuring a row of banners. It was made largely on my Silhouette electronic cutting machine and I dry embossed the banners in a manual die-cutter.

This week, our Guest Designer is Kelly, so I hope you'll come over to City Crafter and see what Kelly, and the rest of the DT have made, and join in our challenge.

Cas Wedding

Gosh, this is a CAS wedding card, using just two stamps. I did include a couple of luxe touches that are hard to see in the photo - embossed linen base and Wink of Stella on the drinks.

Good Company

Another layout - this is me and my son playing with a selfie stick that was an impulse buy in the pound shop! I used a sketch from Like For Ever . The title was drawn with a sketch pen on the Silhouette Cameo.

Tiniest Tent

I'm entering this into the moodboard challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50 . It's not winter here though, thank goodness.

Shabby Wedding (Conquering Paper Mountain #11)

My daughter asked me to make a shabby chic wedding card.

This card was great for my scheme to reduce my paper mountain , as it used 3 sheets from a 6 x 6 Prima pad. The  heart (dry embossed and coloured with mist) and leaf flourish are manual die-cuts and I electronically cut the sentiment on the Silhouette.

Way To Go

Here's a card I made for a friend and craft teammie who has passed her driving test.

I smooshed pink and lilac inks for the background and stamped the row of houses (Little Claire) and the car (Stampin Up) . The 'youre amazing' is Waffle Flower.

I added 'way to go' (Avery Elle) at the bottom - it's not a very British sentiment! But I thought it had a double meaning of 'you've done great' and ' driving is a way to get places'.

Runaway Baby

I've had this baby stamp a long time..the brand is 'Stamp World' and it says it was made in Australia ..I think I must have got it 2nd hand.

I welded the word 'baby' to the hill in Silhouette Studio and cut it out electronically.  The word congratulations was cut out of spotty paper and I used the same paper to paper-piece some of the pram.

City Crafter - White and Bright

Stella has chosen 'White and Bright' as the new challenge at City Crafter and she wants us to 'create a card or project using lots of white and add an element or elements from the photo (below) .
For my DT card I used a very old Penny Black stamp, with paper scraps and ribbon to reflect the tea towels, and a splash of red on the tulips.

Our Guest Designer this week is Sid, so I hope you will come over to City Crafter and see what he and the rest of the DT have created and enter your own project.

It's Started to Snow!

If I have one overused motif on my Christmas cards, it must be the deer in the landscape! So I was looking for a way to give it a twist.

The deer and trees are a die-cu from Miss Kate Cuttables and I stuck it onto some snowfall acetate. Behind the acetate, I layered two colours of glitter card and then mounted it all on some gold mirror card.
