At The Library, the book is The Snowman by Raymond Briggs.
It's the perfect book for reluctant readers - it has no words! You might also know the film, with the song 'Walking in the Air'.
By coincidence, while I was making cards for this challenge, I discovered that Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine had free The Snowman images available to download. I printed this one off, coloured it with Promarkers, cut it out and stuck it over a stamped night sky (Avery Elle) .

For my second card I used a very old and well-loved stamp by Funstamps. I coloured him with Zigs, cut him out and stuck him to some dry embossed pearlised card.

ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards! I thinks it was a good choice to accent your second snowman with purples: it's a non-traditional but perfectly appropriate Christmas colour. The layout is great too. Thank you for joining us at Retro Rubber Challenges this week.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know the book, but I know the song, and I especially love the version where the singer, now grown up, sings along with his younger self. It’s really beautiful. I’ve been making mostly snowman cards lately, maybe I’ll get to make one more.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the film and absolutely love both of your cards x.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so charming and whimsical!
