Butterfly Dome

For this project (ooh!!- not just a card, my friends!) - I was trying to get an effect like those Victorian bell jars.(Can you see the domed acetate?)  I don't think I've really achieved that - this is too light for a Victorian, I think- but I quite like it anyway. Maybe I'll have another go at the bell jar look.
This is what I used:

Background paper printed from My Craft Studio Quintessential Country Garden  (straight off the porch today)

Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, punched out of MCS paper, same Cd

Die cut cage from MCS coloured with  Victorian Velvet Distress ink pad, Glimmer Mist and black ink pad.

Cardboard from a box.

Glitter (lighter than it looks in the photo)

Dragonfly charm

Pink gems.

Black card and pink vellum

Hero Arts fern stamp, stamped with Kaleidocolour Fresh Greens

Acetate to make a dome.
I'd like to enter these challenges:
Order of the Opus Gluei What else do you know? (acetate dome)
Crafty pad just die-delicious ( cage die-cut)
Crafts and Me 3d embellishments
Little Red Wagon spring colours

Oh my gosh, I am so glad I finally got a chance to come over and see what you've created! This is beautiful. I think the colors are Victorian enough, they're lovely and really sing to me! Your jar effect is a fantastic idea and I like how you achieved it. I got a better sense from clicking on the photo. What a sweet project! Thank you so much for sharing it with us at Opus Gluei, it's marvelous. I hope you are able to come back and visit us in the future and check out more challenges with us, I would love to see what you make from the inspiration!
